National Lutheran Council (NLC) executive committee minutes and agenda (1943-1966) regard the direction of NLC domestic and international programs. Minutes are the "protocol" copy set in that they contain executive session minutes, exhibits, and reports which were not widely distributed. Notable executive committee members include NLC executive directors, Ralph H. Long (1930-1948) and Paul C. Empie (1948-1966); and Abdel Ross Wentz (1948-1954), J.A. Aasgaard (1931-1936, 1941, 1944-1954) and Franklin Clark Fry (1946-1966). Executive committee minutes from the NLC's founding in 1918 through 1942 are found in NLC proceedings (NLC 1/2).
